Description

Reusable systems are the key to seamlessly connecting Earth and space. Structural analysis is at the heart of making parts, assemblies, and systems last for thousands of uses. As the Sr. Structural Analyst at an early stage start-up, you will own all aspects of structural assessments by working closely with the design and manufacturing team through all phases of the part and assembly lifecycle. You will perform, present, and document your results for static, dynamic, modal, thermo-mechanical, fracture, and fatigue analyses. You will seek out state-of-the-art analysis techniques and tools and you will develop company standards for analysis methods. You must be ready to stay focused, move fast, self-direct, and learn on the fly.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional command of fundamentals
  • Practical and theoretical knowledge of solid mechanics including static, dynamic, modal, thermo-mechanical, fracture, and fatigue
  • Experience working with and analyzing aerospace hardware
  • Experience with crack growth analysis codes including NASGRO
  • Ability to learn and adopt the state of the art
  • Ability to lead
  • Ability to follow
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or similar
